Why a Sunroom is the Best Thing Ever

This weekend, while browsing million-dollar dream real estate (a torturous activity I engage in about once a week), I realized something. I need a sunroom. I then moved to Pinterest where I manically pinned and screenshot images of well-appointed homes with beautifully bright, open, sunrooms and solariums, saving them to show boyfriend, just in case he was in the mood to buy me a new house, (can’t knock a girl for trying). After he rejected me, I quickly moved to Google, where I did some research on how much a sunroom addition for the average Michigan home (like mine) costs. Upwards of 18k, apparently.  Well. Back to Pinterest.

There’s something so beautiful about a sunroom- especially one you can use year-round. It's snowing and awful in Detroit right now, which further ignited my crazy sunroom moment. A room with floor to ceiling glass, and even a glass ceiling, would perfect for lounging, reading, yoga. Could you imagine anyplace better to sip tea in the morning, as the sun rises and you casually prepare for the day ahead? Or better yet, to sip a glass (or three) of wine and read a book after the kitchen’s cleaned and kids are down for bed? It’s settled. Sunrooms and solariums = the good life.  Here’s a rundown of my favorites from my crazy sunroom moment.
